Wizards vs Pacers Prediction

The current betting odds have the Wizards listed as a 2.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Wizards just had a very disappointing season where they missed out on the playoffs but almost made it into a play-in game. They have a good core group of guys on their team but they had their moments in games last season and just could not get it done, even blowing some really big leads in a lot of their games. They were a mess all season but started to get things together a bit near the end of the year after acquiring a few new pieces via trade. They have a solid defensive piece in Porzingis now that he is healthy again and Beal was running over teams along with Kuzma when they were getting hot. The Pacers traded away a lot of their talent and are left with a very young team that is going to need to develop more. They have some good players but it is not enough to put together a strong season and there will likely be a lot of growing pains as this team continues to rebuild. The Wizards have more talent and will be looking to get off to a hot start after the way their season went last year. The best way to place a bet here is on the Wizards to cover the spread in this game.
