Commanders vs Jets Prediction

The current betting odds have the Jets listed as a 3 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Jets haven't looked good in their games this season with their 5-9 record overall but they have been better in their home games. They are 3-5 in their home games this season but they do have some good wins in those games and have also played much closer in their losses there. Meanwhile, the Commanders have been terrible this season with their 4-10 record overall and they continue to lose games as they are sliding toward the end of the season. They have already been eliminated from playoff contention and they have nothing to play for either with Ron Rivera now on the hot seat too. The Jets don't have much to play for either with the season they have had but they do have the home advantage here and will be looking to finish strong with Rodgers coming back to practice getting ready for next year now. The Jets also have the better defense that will shut down the Commanders offense and there is going to be a response from this offense too after getting shut out last week. The best way to place a bet here is on the Jets to cover the spread in this game.

Commanders Jets Prediction:  Our NFL Pick for Sunday, December 24, 2023 (1:00 pm ET start time) is Jets 17 Commanders 7.

Notable Quotes

“It’s tough that we got going late like that. (Brissett) has played football for a long time in this league and been a starter, so he knows what it looks like. I definitely believe he gave us a boost late in the game, and I’m just happy for him." - Terry McLaurin after their loss against the LA Rams in their last game.

“It’s disappointing. Starting from the first series of the year all the way to now, it’s just been a constant battle. I do appreciate the heck out of our guys. We still got three games left to finish strong.” - Robert Saleh after his team’s loss against the Dolphins in their last game.
