In MLB on Sunday, we saw underdogs win six of 14 to close out the first half of the season. Yesterday's Big Dawg that barked loudest was once again the Washington Nationals (+185, Caesars) in a 7-2 upset of the Texas Rangers.

With the win, the Nationals head into the All-Star Break on a two-game win streak. The Rangers, on the other hand, continue to struggle heading into the Break. Texas has lost 11 of 16 since June 24, despite a hitting spree that has led to a .286 batting average in that time frame. They've also smacked 23 home runs. It's been the pitching that has slipped terribly, with a 5.22 ERA over the 16-game stretch.

There were five WNBA games on Sunday, and favorites went 3-2 on the day.

In a battle of Eastern Conference powers, the Connecticut Sun (-4') won and covered in a 92-84 victory over the Washington Mystics.

The Dallas Wings (-3') couldn't cover the number but did come away with a hard-fought 77-76 win over the Indiana Fever.

The Phoenix Mercury (-1') continues to play better as they continue to get healthier. Phoenix knocked off the visiting - and struggling - Los Angeles Sparks, 78-72.

The Las Vegas Aces (-11') rebounded from their second loss of the season by trouncing the Minnesota Lynx with a 113-89 road win.

The Atlanta Dream (+2) won for the fifth straight time after going into Chicago and coming away with an 88-77 win over the Sky.
