USC vs Oregon State Prediction

The current betting odds have Oregon State listed as a 6.5 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Oregon State has looked really good in their 3 games this year as they haven't lost a game yet and will be at home for this one. They are going to get up for this game at home with it being their 1st conference game of the year and against a USC team who a lot of people are very high on for them to make it to the final four. USC has played well in their 3 games this season and they have already played both a road game and a conference game all in one, but they were not great as they allowed 28 points and that was the most their defense has allowed all season. They are on the road again in this game and Oregon State has a very good home record over the last few years with a much better team this season now. USC is still trying to build their program up only in their 1st year with head coach Lincoln Riley and they will need some more time to make this a program that can compete for a National Championship. Oregon State has a great team that could even upset USC here at home. The best bet to place here is on Oregon State to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

"A very big point of emphasis throughout the week, especially coming off to the Stanford game, was putting together a more complete game and I thought we did that. I think we're growing each week. There's a few less mistakes and a few more things right." - Lincoln Riley after his team’s win against Fresno State in their last game.

“It’s where we wanted to be. You start the season, you’ve got a non-conference schedule, and I think we had some good play there. Not a complete game all three games, but found ways to win. That’s what you wanted. But the real season starts now. First of nine conference games that obviously we want to have the same result.” - Jonathan Smith on his team’s perfect record to start the season.
