Tulane Green Wave Analysis

Tulane is coming into this game with a 1-7 record overall and they are 0-4 in their road games this season where they will be in this game. This will be their 5th conference matchup of the year and they are out of the title conversation with a 0-4 record in their conference games this season. They only have 1 win on the season and have lost their last 6 straight games since then, coming into this one on that 6 game losing streak. They lost their last game to Cincinnati in a game that was close in the first half but then Cincinnati broke the game open in the second half, not even allowing Tulane to score another point in that game. Kai Horton played a very bad game in that one as he completed 7/16 passes for 79 yards and 2 interceptions. Tyjae Spears had a nice day on the ground as he led the team in rushing with 106 yards and 1 touchdown on 19 carries while Cameron Carroll had 64 yards on 10 carries. Jha'Quan Jackson led the receivers with 34 yards on 3 receptions in what was a very quiet day for the receiving corps. Larry Brooks led the defense in that game with 5 solo tackles. Marvin Moody, Darius Hodges, and Nick Anderson all recorded 1 sack each in that game while Macon Clark came away with the only interception for them in that one. They have scored 235 points in their 8 games this season averaging 29.4 PPG and they have allowed their opponents to score 327 points against them allowing 40.9 PPG. Their offense is averaging 387.5 YPG while their defense is allowing 476.8 YPG.

Central Florida Knights Analysis

The UCF Knights are coming into this game with a 5-3 record overall and they are 4-0 in their home games this season where they will be in this game. This will be the 6th conference matchup on their schedule this year and they are in an alright spot with a 3-2 record in their conference games this season. They have won 3 of their last 4 games and are coming into this one on a 2 game winning streak. They won their last game 49-7 against Temple in a game that they had complete control of from start to finish. Mikey Keene played a good game in that one as he completed 15/21 passes for 229 yards, 5 touchdowns and 1 interception. Isaiah Bowser led the team in rushing with 89 yards and 1 touchdown on 19 carries while Johnny Richardson ran in the other touchdown on the ground. Alec Holler led the receivers in that one with 87 yards and 2 touchdowns on 4 receptions while Ryan O'Keefe had 72 yards and 2 touchdowns on 6 receptions. Brandon Johnson caught the other TD pass in that game for them. Jon Powell led the defense in that game with 6 solo tackles and 2 assisted ones while Bryson Armstrong was right behind with 6 solo tackles. Big Kat Bryant led the defense in sacks with 1.5 in that game while no one on the defense was able to come away with an interception for them in that one. They have scored 278 points in their 8 games this season averaging 34.8 PPG and they have allowed their opponents to score 207 points against them allowing 25.9 PPG. Their offense is averaging 421.6 YPG while their defense is allowing 362.4 YPG.

Tulane vs Central Florida Prediction

UCF is coming into this game as a 13 point favorite with the current betting odds according to Draftkings Sportsbook. UCF has looked much better in their last 2 games played. They won both of those games by more than 17 points each and their offense has been moving the ball well. Their offense has always been good over the years but their defense is starting to play well as well. They have only allowed 7 points scored against them in each of their last 2 games. Tulane has been awful all season long. They kept their last game close in the first half against Cincinnati but even then, they got to their 12 points in that game just by kicking field goals. Playing on the road in UCF is very tough with the crowd and Tulane is going to struggle even more in this game because of it. The best bet to place in this game is on UCF to cover the spread here as it should be a blowout win for them.
