Troy vs UTSA Prediction

The current betting odds have Troy listed as a 1.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Both of these teams are coming off great seasons as they were both crowned Conference Champions in their respective conferences. Both teams also rolled over their opponent in the Title games and both have identical 11-2 records overall this season. Troy has performed a lot better in their Bowl games over the years though and there is no doubt they will be looking to cap off their Conference Championship year with a Bowl win in Sumrall's 1st season as head coach. Troy has been to 8 Bowl games in their school history and they have a 62.5% winning percentage in those games. UTSA has only been to 3 Bowl games in their school history but they are 0-3 in those games still searching for their 1st Bowl win. They lost badly to San Diego State in their Bowl game last season even though they were an even better 12-1 going into that game. They just do not perform well in these games and Troy will come for the win with Sumrall looking to make his mark on the program in a big way after just 1 year, taking this team from a losing 5-7 record last season to now 11-2 with a Conference Championship. The best way to place a bet here is on Troy to cover the spread in this game.
