Troy is playing their season opener here on Saturday and this will also be their first road game of the college football season. They finished last season with a 5-7 record overall and were 2-4 in their road games. They were also 3-5 in their conference games and finished 4th place in the Sun Belt Group A. They did not end their season with a Bowl game as their record was not good enough to become Bowl eligible. Their offense was averaging 339.9 YPG and 22.8 PPG while their defense was allowing 337.5 YPG and 26.1 PPG against them. Ole Miss has a very good program and is off of a great season last year but, they lost their starting QB Matt Corral to the NFL draft and that is going to be a big replacement they have to make at that position. Dart is the starting QB now but this is his first season with the team and he will have to get familiar with the system and the players before this offense and team picks up where it left off last season. They scored a lot of points in their games last season but their defense was not great as they were allowing similar numbers as well. Troy will be able to move the ball in this game and score points while Ole Miss will still be testing the water with their new QB and it is hard to see them blowing anybody out in their first game of the season. The best way to place a bet here is on Troy to cover the spread in this game.
