Season Record

Raptors: 2-3, 10th place Eastern Conference
Pacers: 1-4, 14th place Eastern Conference

The Raptors just beat the Pacers.  It was a comfortable victory and a relief off the shoulders of both the Raptors and Nick Nurse… who may have a bad team in the East.  Scotiabank Arena in Tor was rockin’. Too bad they have to play Ind this soon.  An NBA prediction on this one will depend entirely on current betting odds and point spread.  Neither team is good.  Neither team is fully healthy.  Neither team is ready for anything other than hiding from live coverage… They both need guys to get healthy for any betting insights to be sure.

Matt is coming off a WIN on the Spurs and is 12-4 (75 percent) to start to the NBA season. Fargo is now on a POTENT 20-6 NBA Run and is ready for a HUGE 2021-2022 season! Knicks vs Pelicans Preview and Analysis.

RECENT FORM
The Raptors have lost to the Washington Wizards, the Dallas Mavericks, and the Chicago Bulls.  They have beaten The Boston Celtics and the Indiana Pacers (on wednesday night).  They have lost to The Washington Wizards, the Dallas Mavericks, and the Chicago Bulls. They are in a place where they could drip along the bottom of the league hiding from the Nets and the Milwaukee Bucks… in hopes for a play-in  spot.  They just don’t have it this year.

The Pacers are struggling mightily this season.  They have an amazing Center and Power Forward duo… but the skilled players are spending nights on the IR list.  They have lost to the Charlotte Hornets, the Washington Wizards, the Milwaukee Bucks, and the Toronto Raptors.  Surprisingly the one team they did beat was the Miami Heat.

Offensive Analysis

The Raptors are averaging 103.8 ppg.  They have lost two games by 1 point.  They are shooting 41.3% from the field (lousy) and 32.5% from 3pt.  It’s a shallow bunch of stats. The one amazing development is this summer’s draft pick Scottie Barnes is looking like the real deal with 16.8 points and 8.5 rebounds.  He is playing well enough to justify him as being the center of a quick rebuild.

The Pacers are averaging 113.4 ppg on 46.4 FG% and 35.7 3PT%... they just aren’t winning.  Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner are the correct answer to “are these guys great?” … yet PG Malcolm Brogdan, SG Caris LaVert, and SF T.J. Warren are all out with injury…. Leaving not much in the backcourt.
