Season Record

Nets: 19-8, 1st place Eastern Conference
Raptors: 12-14, 11th place Eastern Conference.

An Eastern Conference matchup between opponents seemingly going in different directions.

The Raptors are not performing like the team that won the title 3 seasons ago or even the team that they were in the last two seasons.  They have been on a slow tumble as they have moved from that title roster to a roster that will be rebuilt for the future.  They won their last game against the New York Knicks… but at 12-14 and stuck in 11th place they certainly aren’t winning them all. The best part of watching this version of the Toronto Raptors is seeing rookie Scottie Barnes make a strong case for ROY and look every bit a future star.

The Nets have two of the best players in the entire NBA.  They could have had three, but Kyrie Irving thinks 3-point shots are the only shots he should ever take… he also thinks the world is flat and the NBA would stop without him.  It didn’t, there is an NBA game a couple times every night.  Without him, Kevin Durant and James Harden are running over the Eastern Conference, no contest,  and always a betting favorite.

It is beginning to happen… the NBA season is 1/3rd over and the league has started to postpone games because too many players are in Covid Protocols.  Right now it’s just the next two Bulls games that will miss the court because 7 players are out and they can’t play a game without a bench, or scorers,... for God’s sake they aren’t the Detroit pistons.  Bettors will be disappointed if more postponements and cancellations happen.
