Blue Jays vs Guardians Prediction

The current betting odds have the Guardians listed as an underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Guardians have been terrible lately as they have fallen into a bit of a slump now. They were right in the race with the Twins for the AL Central division but lately they have been losing a lot and are slipping back under .500 again. Their offense has been one of the worst in the MLB all season but they do have a really good pitching staff to lean on and they can take advantage of the way the Blue Jays offense has been really up and down this year. The Guardians are going with Allen in this game and he has been a solid starter for them all year, not giving up many runs in his starts lately. The Jays only scored 3 runs in their win on Monday too so their offense has been cooling off a bit and Allen will be able to shut them down here with a good performance. Meanwhile, the Blue Jays have Gausman starting in this game and even though he has been really good all season and has pretty much been the Blue Jays ace, lately he hasn't been good as he is giving up a lot more runs in his starts now and the Blue Jays haven't been having a lot of success with him on the mound either. The Guardians do have the better pitching matchup in this game and they will be leaning on them here. The best way to place a bet here is on the Guardians to win this game.

Blue Jays Guardians Prediction:  Our MLB Pick for Wednesday, August 9, 2023 (7:10 pm ET start time) is Guardians 2 Blue Jays 0.
