Rangers vs Mariners Prediction

The current betting odds have the Mariners listed as a favorite in this game. The Mariners have not been playing well in their recent games but they were very hot going into the All-Star break and they have started to heat up a little in their last game again. They will snap out of the slump they are in as they have been great at home this season and they have Kirby starting here who has not been bad this season. Kirby is just a rookie but he has been putting together a pretty good season and he will likely keep that up here as he has been pitching well in recent starts. The Rangers have not been playing great recently as they have been very consistent and they have been allowing a lot of runs in their games as well. They have Dunning starting here and he has not been bad this season but he is also coming off of an injury making his first start back here, and he will likely slip up a bit as he was not lights out even prior to his injury. This is a good series at home for the Mariners to bounce back in, considering they just swept the Rangers last week in their last series before the break. The best way to place a bet here is on the Mariners to win this game.

Notable Quotes

"I don't know if we took our foot off the gas a little bit but we weren't executing pitches. Brett's been so good for us but he kind of gave in on a lot of those pitches and gave them something over the heart of the plate to hit. He's better than that and he knows that." - Chris Woodward after his team’s win against the Athletics on Sunday.

“We got beat. They executed, they made pitches, they made plays, they got timely hits, and that is why they swept the series.” - Scott Servais after his team’s loss against the Astros on Sunday.
