Rangers vs Mariners Prediction

The current betting odds have the Mariners listed as a slight favorite in this game. The Mariners have not been playing well since coming out of the break, having their 14 game win streak snapped. They will be hungry for a win here at home though and the Rangers have not been great in their recent games either. The Rangers came out of the break crushing the Marlins 8-0 but then lost their next 2 games, scoring very few runs in that span. Their offense has been cooling off recently but their pitching has not been great either, and they are not going with a very good starter here. They have Otto starting in this game but he has been allowing a lot of runs all season and will likely be what the Mariners offense needs here to get a spark going. Flexen is starting for the Mariners here and he has not been great this season but he has also been getting a lot better in his recent starts, and he has been better at home all season. He will do enough here to keep this Rangers offense cold and the Mariners should start getting hot again with their bats against Otto here. The best way to place a bet here is on the Mariners to win this game.

Notable Quotes

"This is a big second half for him. I desperately as a manager want him to be the answer. I want him to be the first guy we talk about as far as him being a winning piece to this organization. Because I just love the way the guy plays, the heart that he plays with, the way he plays outfield, the way he runs the bases, the way he cares about this team. I really challenged him." - Chris Woodward after his team’s loss against the Athletics on Friday.

"We haven't lost a series in a while. We've played so well. We've been getting all those big hits in those big moments. It just hasn't happened the last couple of nights." - Scott Servais after his team’s loss against the Astros on Saturday
