Rangers vs Tigers Prediction

The Tigers are coming into this game as a slight favorite with the current betting odds. They have not been playing very well recently as they were just swept in their last series but they have won most of their games at home this season where they will be in this game and they have their ace on the mound here who gives them a good chance in this game. Skubal is starting here and he is coming off of a bad start against the Blue Jays where he got lit up but he has been great all season and will likely bounce back at home in this game against the Rangers who do not have as good a lineup as the Blue Jays and their offense just died in their last series as well. The Rangers were on a good little streak but they have lost their last 2 games now and have not been playing well as their bats have gone cold and they are not scoring many runs in their recent games. Gray is starting in this game and he is coming off of a good start in his last game but he has not been good this season and will likely not put 2 good road starts together like that. The Tigers have not been hitting well recently but Gray will give some chances to the Tigers to score runs and Skubal will do enough to shut down an already cooling off Rangers offense. The best bet here is on the Tigers to win this game.

Notable Quotes

"Tyson, you could tell was just a little off, wasn't really commanding the baseball at all. Fell behind, really didn't really get much swing and miss. You start down 6-0, it takes the wind out of your sails a little bit." - Chris Woodward after his team’s loss against the Astros on Wednesday.

"Our bullpen is pretty taxed and we have seven more games before our next day off. I hate doing that, but I'm trying to give us a chance to win the next game." - A.J. Hinch after his team’s loss against the White Sox on Wednesday.
