Recent Form:
The Tennessee Titans got off to a 6-0 start last season before dropping a few to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Bengals, and Indianapolis Colts. They finished the season 11-5 good for the Playoffs. They promptly lost to the Baltimore Ravens.
I don’t know if you heard but Tampa Bay won the Super Bowl last year. They also went 11-5 on the season,, but it turned out to be a very different 11-5. The only real drama was Tampa Bay lost to the New Orleans Saints TWICE in the regular season before beating them in the Divisional Playoff. Tom Brady got his 7th Super Bowl ring… and the whole gang decided to stay put and do it again this year. Tom got everybody back, even his buddy Gronk who came with him from the New England Patriots. Oh how it’s great to win all the time! The South Division will be jumping and nobody is really worried about the Buffalo Bills or Miami Dolphins or Los Angeles Rams or Dallas Cowboys… or whoever. Until someone beats Tommy everyone else might as well be the New York Jets…. Are the Giants any good this year?
Statistical Comparison:
The Titans in 2020 scored 30.7 points a game and held their opponents to 27.4 points a game.
The Bucs in 2020 scored 30.8 points per game and held their opponents to 22.2 a winning formula.

Titans vs Bucs Game Preview:
The NFL preseason doesn’t bring a lot of shocking revelations. Good teams lose to bad teams. Coaches are evaluating, players are either content with their contract and going half-speed or desperate to make the team ang going full out! Preseason games do however give ample opportunities to beat the betting odds. If you pay attention to preseason football you may recognize it’s not the same football you will see on Sunday during the NFL season. The starters barely play, the roster has too many guys, the opponents aren’t in the division you see during the regular season. “Hey! that’s not our QUARTERBACK!!!” It’s all topsy turvy. Finally a chance to bet against the Super Bowl champs and be right.
A team like the Bucs are only counting down to the debut of real games. Their lineup will be all rookies and scrubs. The Titans need to see snaps from their regular defense and their regular offense before letting Logan Woodside and Matt Barkley avoid sacks behind a makeshift line.
Notable quotes:
"I didn't know what to expect. ... But actually seeing all the fans and actually stepping back on the turf, it feels really good to be back out here man...It felt like it's football season again." -Bucs linebacker Lavonte Davis after preseason loss to Bengals.
"Training camp has been some of the toughest times for me. But thankfully I'm healthy right now,...When I'm out there, I play well. Some of the things you just can't control." -Tennessee Titans wide receiver Marcus Johnson
