Titans vs Saints Prediction

The current betting odds have the Titans listed as a 3 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Titans finished last season with a 7-10 record overall, just 1 season after finishing as the number 1 seed in the AFC, and they completely missed the playoffs too seeing the Jaguars win the division. The Jaguars are favored once again to win the division this season but the Titans have something else to say about that and they are going to be looking for a much improved season. They still have a consistent starting QB in Tannehill and have their star running back Derrick Henry, but now they have also added DeAndre Hopkins to replace A.J. Brown who they traded away the year before and now they have a lot more talent to surround Tannehill with on the offense. The Saints were also 7-10 last season but they were terrible on offense as they didn't really have a solid starting QB. Now they have Derek Carr leading the charge for them but with Kamara out to start the season, they don't have much of a running game and they will have to continue leaning on their defense as Carr tries to figure out this offense in his new system. The Saints aren't going to click right away in this game with their new QB, especially when they weren't that great at home last season and have a solid team with a consistent offense coming into town. The Titans also have the better coach in Mike Vrabel and they are a live underdog to win this game. The best way to place a bet here is on the Titans to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

"I don't think so. As it stands now with Will's (Levis) availability, we'll get him back this week, but I thought that Malik (Willis) took a big step yesterday. Unfortunately, you have the turnovers. Again, there was a lot of cool stuff that happened after that and I wouldn't say we were great in front of him. I thought our receivers showed up and did a nice job most of the night. Malik has to make some better decisions and we'll see where Will is at this week." - Mike Vrabel on the QB competition with Malik Willis.

"I'm hoping to have him back out here pretty quickly." - Dennis Allen on the injury to Marshon Lattimore.
