Rays vs Red Sox Prediction

The current betting odds have not been listed for this game yet. The Rays are coming off of a great series over the weekend where they swept a double-header on Saturday against the Jays and followed up with a win on Sunday to take that series. Their bats really woke up in Toronto but died down again against the Red Sox in this series opener. The Red Sox have not been playing great themselves recently as they just lost a series against the Cubs over the weekend and didn't score a lot of runs in those games. The Rays did face some good pitching on Monday against the Red Sox but the Red Sox have a rookie starting in this game and not only is he a rookie, he is making his MLB debut against the Rays here. The Rays were starting to hit the ball much better in Toronto over the weekend and their offense is bound to get going at some point as they do have some good players in that lineup. They cleaned up against a thin pitching staff that the Jays were working with in that series and they will likely do the same here with the Red Sox in a similar situation. The Rays also have Kluber starting here and he has been good all season with a few bad starts but for the most part, he has been a solid starter for them that will keep the Red Sox from scoring a lot here. The best way to place a bet here is on the Rays to win this game.

Rays Red Sox Prediction:  Our MLB Pick for Wednesday, July 6, 2022 (7:10 pm ET start time) is Rays 4 Red Sox 2.

Notable Quotes

"Kutter Crawford, we've seen him twice now and he's pitched really well against us. Big fastball, threw the breaking ball and had the cutter as well. We just couldn't get anything going. Just never felt like we had a rhythm at the plate at all." - Kevin Cash after his team’s loss against the Red Sox on Monday.

"Just as important as the first 70 or whatever we played. With our ups and downs and, obviously how we struggled early in the season, if you look at the standings, we are where we're at." - Alex Cora after his team’s win against the Rays on Monday.
