The Saints are entering this game with a 2-1 record overall and they have a 1-0 record in their divisional games too. They are 1-0 in their home games, 1-1 in their road games, and they are also 0-0 in their neutral site games this season, but they will be at home for this game. Buccaneers vs Saints Prediction

The current betting odds have the Buccaneers listed as a 3 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Buccaneers are on a shorter week here after playing on Monday night but they didn't look good at all in that game. They lost at home to the Eagles and were never really in the game from the start. They weren't able to run the ball at all but they did have some success with passing and their defense did a good job to hold the Eagles offense down as much as they could. They are on the road in this game now with it being the 1st division game of the season for both teams but the Saints took a big hit on the season in their last game with Carr going down. Carr is going to miss some time now and the Saints had a 17-0 lead against the Packers when he left the game, but the offense wasn't able to stay on the field with Winston running the show and they ended up blowing their 17 point lead to lose. The Saints will be at home for this game where they did win their only home game but their offense wasn't good in that game as they only won by 1 point and that was with Carr. The offense has already been struggling to put up points this season and they are going to struggle more without Carr since the Bucs do have a good defense still. The Bucs offense may have looked bad on Monday night but they will bounce back in this division game and they are more capable of moving the ball to put points up. With both teams having great defenses too, this could be a game that is settled by a couple of points for either team. The best way to place a bet here is on the Buccaneers to cover the spread in this game.

Buccaneers Saints Prediction:  Our NFL Pick for Sunday, October 1, 2023 (1:00 pm ET start time) is Saints 17 Bucs 16.
