Buccaneers vs Texans Prediction

The current betting odds have the Texans listed as a 2.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Texans are only 3-4 this season but they have looked really good in their games despite their losing record. They just lost a close game on the road against the winless Panthers, giving them their 1st win of the season, but they will be looking to bounce back now that they are back at home. The Buccaneers haven't looked that great this season with their 3-4 record and they have been starting to lose a lot more games lately after a pretty good start to the season. They do have some extra rest from playing on Thursday night but Baker Mayfield is also dealing with an injury to his knee and even though he is likely to play as he has played through injuries throughout his whole career, he has also struggled more when trying to play through his injuries. The offense has also struggled a lot this season and the Texans do have a decent defense with Ryans really turning things around. The best way to place a bet here is on the Texans to cover the spread in this game.

Buccaneers Texans Prediction:  Our NFL Pick for Sunday, November 5, 2023 (1:00 pm ET start time) is Texans 20 Bucs 13.

Notable Quotes

“I thought everybody fought their tails off tonight. The effort wasn’t our problem. We hung together, we were tough, we clawed, we scratched, we fought our way back in there. We were right there. A few plays here or there, a few penalties here or there. We feel like we can get better from that.” - Todd Bowles after his team’s loss against the Bills in their last game.

“I think with any quarterback, especially a young quarterback, defenses continue to game plan. You get more film on him and see what guys do well and you switch your game plan accordingly to put the quarterback in difficult spots. He’ll just have to keep growing and keep learning. C.J. will do well with it. He’ll bounce back." - DeMeco Ryans after his team’s loss against the Panthers in their last game.
