Stanford vs Notre Dame Prediction

The current betting odds have Notre Dame listed as a 24 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Notre Dame has looked really good in their games this season with their 4-1 record overall. They did take a really bad loss at home this season, losing 16-14 to Northern Illinois, but they have looked a lot better since that loss with their offense starting to roll now. They have also been great on defense all year and they are coming out of their bye week so they have had extra time to prepare. Meanwhile, Stanford hasn't looked great in their games this season with their 2-3 record overall and their 1-2 conference record. They pulled off a big upset win on the road against Syracuse in their first ever ACC game, but they lost their next game to Clemson 40-14 and then didn't even show up in their last one at home, losing to VT 31-7. Their offense hasn't looked great without their starting QB and they should be getting him back in this game, but the defense has also been a big issue in their last 2 games and Notre Dame has been starting to roll on offense lately so they are going to put up points here. Stanford will not be able to move the ball well against this defense either and that is going to allow Notre Dame to pull away until this game gets out of hand for Stanford. The best way to place a bet here is on Notre Dame to cover the spread in this game.

Stanford Notre Dame Prediction:  Our NCAAF Pick for Saturday, October 12, 2024 (3:30 pm ET start time) is Notre Dame 41 Stanford 13.

Notable Quotes

“We just never had any big plays, really. We didn’t do enough offensively to create some space and some big plays. We had some opportunities there, but we didn’t play well enough in all three phases.” - Troy Taylor after his team’s loss against VA Tech in their last game.

“I know the game gets close, but we have a lot of confidence in our defense. It’s why I’m so aggressive as a coach on fourth down. You got a lot of confidence in your defense.” - Marcus Freeman after his team’s win against Louisville in their last game.
