South Carolina vs Arkansas Prediction
The current betting odds have Arkansas listed as a 8.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Arkansas looked very good in their season opener at home last week, and they will be playing at home again in this game where they were very good last season. Arkansas only came away with a 7 point win over Cincinnati but they were very dominant in that game from start to finish always having a lead in it, and Cincinnati is still a very good program with a great head coach that had something to prove in that game after losing their starting QB from last season, Desmond Ridder, to the NFL. South Carolina also looked good in their home opener last week but they were also playing Georgia State from a much weaker conference who hasn't been a very good road team the past few years either. Arkansas played a quality team in their first game while South Carolina struggled to pull away early at home against a much weaker team, and now they are going on the road here in a tough place to play against a ranked team. Arkansas has a much better program and they have improved a lot under head coach Sam Pittman, they will be looking to build on last year's great season here in his 3rd year. South Carolina is only in their 2nd season with their new coach and although they have been getting better, they are still putting things together and will not be able to compete with Arkansas here. The best way to place a bet here is on Arkansas to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes
"Sam’s hire was somewhat unconventional but he was a guy who loved Arkansas … I’m a guy that loves South Carolina. Sam has obviously done some really good things and I think it's an eye opener for a lot of people that just because you can call plays ... doesn’t mean you’re going to be a good head coach. The roles I had and that Sam had in his coaching career certainly prepared us for the chairs we’re in right now." - Shane Beamer on Sam Pittman coming into this game against Arkansas.
"He's a really good person and a fiery guy, a good recruiter. We'd cut up and laugh and things like that in the office. He was easy to work with ... and I was sad to see when he left." - Sam Pittman on Shane Beamer coming into this game against South Carolina.
