Season Record

Rams: 9-4 NFC West
Seahawks: 5-8 NFC West

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson may be having the worst season of his professional life.  He enters a matchup against a team that is in his conference and division, a team that broke his finger the last time they played (specifically Aaron Donald), a team that is far ahead of them in the standing, a team that has seen two straight weeks of improvement in their offense and defense numbers, a team just beat the Arizona Cardinals with Kyler Murray, that team is of course the Los Angeles Rams.  Seattle is coming off two wins over the Houston Texans 33-13 and the San Francisco 49ers 30-23… both wins ATS.  Still Those teams ain’t the Rams. Russell Wilson is at 2,302 passing yards on the season in week 15, a far cry from the 4000 he normally averages.  He has missed some games, but his squad doesn’t provide him much help.  Seattle is near last in offense and is last in defense.  The battle cry in Seattle has been “Let Russ Cook”, he just doesn’t have many ingredients in his kitchen right now.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford has played in the National Football League for 13 seasons.  Few people are familiar with his game as he spent the first 12 of those years with the Detroit Lions. Nobody watched the Lions.  When he arrived in Los Angeles via a trade in the offseason it created a must win situation.  The Rams traded Jared Goff and future picks (which they barely had many of) to get him.  If Stafford didn’t perform well it would be years of rebuilding to get out from under the draft pick shortage. The season started great.  Stafford and the team were rolling almost any opponent.  Sure, they lost to the Arizona Cardinals… but the Cardinals are great.  Everything went up with Stafford over Jared Goff… Touchdowns, ypg, first downs, average total points, total yards… It was an unmitigated success!!  Then November hit the Rams hard.  Stafford threw an interception for a pick six very early in a loss to the Tennessee Titans, then the next week he threw another early pick six in a loss to the San Francisco 49ers, and the the Green Bay Packers came to town and simply beat the Rams.  The talking heads started saying Stafford doesn’t have what it takes… he’s a 12 year loser… you can’t blame the Lions for all his failures… specifically 15 career losses against teams that are 4 games above .500 (good teams) in 15 tries.  Then December came and the Rams got some salve in an easy win over the Jacksonville Jaguars 37-7.  Then last week the Rams came back to full form as they beat the Arizona Cardinals 30-23… and it wasn’t even that close.  Where they go from here is up to the team as a whole.  The quarterback can find the end zone.

Winning the "Big Plays" is THE goal. This 38-year vet has done "just that" these last four weekends. He won his CFB Game of the Year 11/20 (Mia-Fl), then followed with B2B "Signature" CFB wins on 11/27 (LEGEND with LSU) and on 12/4 (38-Club with Pitt). He moved to the NFL in Week 14, winning his Game of the Year on Dallas, and for Week 15, it's a LEGEND Play. FIVE in a row?! Seattle Seahawks vs Los Angeles Rams Preview and Analysis

RECENT FORM
Seattle is 5-8 on the season, but 7-6 ATS.  They have logged 3 Overs and 10 Unders.  They are 3-4 in road games.

Los Angeles is 9-4 on the season, but 6-7 ATS.  They have notched 7 Overs, 5 Unders, and 1 Push.  They are 4-2 in home games.  The latest spread of Rams -4.5 is absolutely a great betting opportunity.  Get that spread locked in before it moves!

Offensive Analysis

Seattle is 22nd in the NFL in points per game with 20.9, 28th in yards per game with 310.2 per game.  It breaks down to a lousy 24th in passing yards and 22nd in rushing yards.  Yes, Russell Wilson missed 3 games… so these numbers took a hit.  The Rams defense is not what you want to face to try to improve any of these.

Defensive Analysis

Seattle games are a defensive clown show.  They are 32nd (last) and allow 394.9 yards per game, they are 32nd (last place) in passing yard defense… they allow 278.9 passing yards per game.  They will not be able to stop Stafford from raining receptions down on Cooper Kupp, Van Jefferson, and Odell Beckham Jr.

Seattle Seahawks vs Los Angeles Rams Prediction

Our prediction for Sunday, December 19th is… Rams 35 - Seahawks 14

Seattle doesn’t have enough on defense to stop the Rams.

Seattle: DT Bryan Mone (knee) Out ** CB Nigel Warrior (leg) Questionable ** C Kyle Fuller (ankle) questionable

Los Angeles: CB Jalen Ramsey (illness) Probable, OL Rob Havenstein (illness) Probable, WR Odell Beckham Jr (illness) Questionable.

The Rams have 9 players on the Covid-Protocol list.  Some will make it back because of 2 negative tests before the Seattle game… some will not… it all depends on when their negative date took them out.  With both teams these squads could lose anybody and possibly everybody right up to the morning of game time.
