Mariners vs Angels Prediction

The current betting odds have the Angels listed as a favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Angels have been slowly getting themselves back into the playoff race since they have been really hot since coming out of the All-Star break. They have a chance to climb the standings even more with this series against the Mariners and even though the Mariners have also been really hot out of the break and have almost the exact same record as the Angels, they actually decided to sell at the trade deadline by sending their closer to the Diamondbacks and that is going to hurt them a lot down the stretch toward the end of the season. The Angels are making a push for the playoffs now and they are going to have their ace Ohtani on the mound here. Ohtani has been a solid starter all season and hasn't been giving up many runs in his starts lately either. He also has one of the best offenses in the MLB behind him here so the Angels will help him out with plenty of run support at home here. Meanwhile, the Mariners have rookie Woo on the mound here and he was great in his first few MLB starts this season but lately he has been falling apart as he is giving up a lot more runs in his starts now. The Angels may have been struggling this season but they do have one of the best offenses in the MLB and they will take advantage of any scoring opportunities they get here knowing this is a huge home series for them to make up some ground in their division. The best way to place a bet here is on the Angels to win this game.

Mariners Angels Prediction:  Our MLB Pick for Thursday, August 3, 2023 (9:38 pm ET start time) is Angels 7 Mariners 3.
