What an electric start to the NHL season. So much parity, so many good teams through the first 10-plus games, you have every right to be excited! Of course the Vegas Golden Knights and Boston Bruins (and the New Jersey Devils?) are heading the fun charge here as the top two teams in the league, because of course they are. But never count out the Avalanche, you know they're always going to be hanging around and will be eating worlds once they get everyone healthy. But this is a good time to be playing these hockey games, as well. Look no further than our own Doc's Sports on a 14-7-0 run over the first 30 days of the NHL season. There's also ASA, Inc. posting a 12-5-1 mark through the first month. You know you can trust our champion handicappers to get you across the finish line with your NHL bets. Kraken - Ducks preview, prediction and analysis

Recent results
Kraken: won 4-2 at Golden Knights
Ducks: lost 5-1 vs. Senators

I am starting to get the feeling that the Seattle Kraken will never lose again. OK, that's a lie. Seattle is eventually going to find a way to lose. But right now, given the current landscape of things and to see Seattle as one of the top five teams in the league in terms of points percentage, I am absolutely here for the fast track development pass that the second-year franchise is under. And now Seattle will look to win its fifth straight game and continue to creep on Vegas for the lead in the Pacific.

Seattle will be taking on the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday to hopefully further continue what has been a very strong run of games for the Kraken. Seattle is coming off a 4-2 victory over the Golden Knights on Friday, the first time they had beaten the previous new expansion team in the NHL. Andre Burakovsky scored twice and engineered his solid first year as a member of Seattle with a team-high 20 points as well as scoring his 6th and 7th goals of the season. Seattle also got a very strong effort from goalie Philipp Grubauer, who had missed some time due to injury.

At some point we will look back on all of the free-agent signings who have made an impact for their team, and Seattle is right up there with the best of them. They have somehow gotten a more cohesive brand of goaltending from Martin Jones, which is still the most absurd thing to say as it pertains to this amazing start that Seattle is on. Jones sports a 10-4-2 record with a goals-against average of 2.49, and a .906 save percentage.

I'm not exactly sure what year we have been transported to for that statement to bring ever so ridiculous? The most maligned goalie in the NHL has continued to find ways to win games and if you ask me he's not going to win the Vezina trophy, but he absolutely is going to have one interesting way to end this season.

Meanwhile, on the other side, it has been one major disappointing season for Anaheim. the ducks were considered to be what are the teams that should have competed for a playoff spot this year, but instead are in a position where they are looking up in the standings and are seemingly a year or two away from actually contending. Anaheim is coming off a 5-1 loss to the Ottawa Senators at home on Friday in what has been another situation where the Ducks have not gotten the full attention into how bad this team really is.

A lot has changed since the season opener between these two teams back on October 12th. Anaheim has not been able to capitalize off that game and has since men struggling to make things happen at home hand with a need to be just overall better. The ducks need to get more production from its young players, its star players, etc.

Prediction

this just seems like a perfect opportunity for Seattle to add another victory to the board. Sure, there have been a lot of games that have gone to overtime as of late and they found a way to win those games, but Seattle is showing that it can hang with anybody. And getting some extra wins against division rivals is a good way to bolster that confidence. Kraken win 4-2

Kraken are 4-0 on the road revenging a loss when the opponent scored 4 or more this season.
