They were a much better team, a more physical team in the trenches that was able to finish drives thanks to their offensive line. Jordon Brookshire struggled in SDSU’s last win at the quarterback position completing 7/20 passes for 115 yards and 1 interception. Greg Bell was the real star on this team as he led his team with the rush with 161 yards and 1 touchdown on 21 carries. Jordan Byrd and Brookshire also found the end zone on the ground but neither of them hit 50 yards rushing in that game. Kobe Smith led the team in receiving with 63 yards on 2 receptions but other than that they did not have much going for them in the passing game. Noah Tumblin led the team on defense with 8 solo tackles. There were 5 different players on the defense who got to the quarterback in that game. Michael Shawcroft, Tayler Hawkins, and Andrew Aleki all recorded 1 interception each in that game.

The Arizona football team is coming into this matchup on Saturday night sitting in 6th place of the Pac-12 South with a 0-1 record. They lost their first game of the season to BYU 24-16. Gunner Cruz played a pretty good game in their last one completing 34/45 passes for 336 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Michael Wiley led the team in rushing with 64 yards on 15 carries but other than that they did not have much of a run game in that one. Stanley Berryhill III had a great outing leading the team in receiving yards with 102 on 12 receptions. Brian Casteel caught the only touchdown pass for them in that one though. Gunner Moldonado led the defense with 4 solo tackles and 3 assists. Kyon Barrs recorded the only sack in the game for them. 

The Aztecs played very well in their last game and have a strong run game and an experienced team that will eat away at the clock as they focus on longer drives to keep their opponents defense on the field. UA has a good passing game but their quarterback struggled with accuracy in their last game and they did not really have much of a run game either. These 2 teams take a complete opposite approach on offense so the under has some value as SDSU has a good defense so this game should be relatively low scoring for both sides. The bookmaker has the Aztecs as an underdog and they have a chance to even win in this game so there is some good value for bettors with a wager on the money line.

He is an explosive player and he will have to keep it up to extend his team’s drives in this game and keep Kentucky’s defense on the field for longer if they want to pull off the upset here.

 

Arizona Wildcats: Gunner Cruz is one player to watch for them in road and home games. He played alright in the last game gaining lots of yardage but had some issues with his accuracy. If he plays more carefully than they can win this game but if he struggles to find his guys this SDSU defense will eat him alive so watch for what he does as it could impact the momentum in the game heavily.
