49ers vs Giants Prediction

The current betting odds have the 49ers listed as a 2.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The 49ers have looked good in their games this season with their 5-3 record overall, but that record has them right near the bottom of the NFC West in a competitive division. They continue to pick up wins even though they have been plagued by many injuries this season, but lately they have been more up and down. They are off a 26-15 loss to the Texans in their last one, but the Texans do have one of the best defenses in the NFL. The 49ers will be looking to bounce back after that loss and this is a team they can definitely beat up on. Meanwhile, the Giants haven't looked great in their games this season with their 2-6 record overall which has them right at the bottom of the NFC East. They had a really exciting stretch with their rookies starting to break out, but they have started to come back down to Earth now. They blew a big lead on the road in Denver, losing 33-32 to the Broncos, and now they are off a 38-20 loss to the Eagles in their last one. They also lost Cam Skattebo to injury and that is going to be a huge loss for this offense that was starting to find a spark with him and Dart. This Giants team is right back where they started the season, dealing with many key injuries now too, and the 49ers are a well coached playoff team looking to bounce back. The best way to place a bet here is on the 49ers to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“There’s not much to sugarcoat there. I was real disappointed in the way we looked for all four quarters. First half was unacceptable and the second half didn’t get much better. Not much to say about it except that.” - Kyle Shanahan after his team’s loss against the Texans in their last game.

“They controlled the line of scrimmage and that was a major point of emphasis and give them credit for doing that. When a team runs for nearly 300 yards, it’s pretty difficult to control the game, if you will. And we missed out on some opportunities.” - Brian Daboll after his team’s loss against the Eagles in their last game.
