Padres vs Blue Jays Prediction

The current betting odds have the Blue Jays listed as a slight favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Blue Jays have been struggling to make a move in their division all season as they have been stuck in 4th place, but now they have moved up into 3rd past the Yankees and they are starting to roll in their games lately as they look to surge up the standings some more. The Padres haven't been having a good season though since their offense hasn't been great and they still have a losing record which means they could be looking at selling when the trade deadline comes. They haven't been good in their road games either while the Jays have been great in their home games all season and the Padres offense won't be able to compete here with the Blue Jays offense getting hot now. Berrios is also starting for the Blue Jays and he has been pitching a lot better lately, not giving up as many runs in his starts, and he should have no problem shutting down this ice cold Padres lineup at home here. The Padres also have Darvish starting for them and he is not the same starter he was last season or even at the World Baseball Classic earlier this year. Darvish has been terrible in his starts all year giving up a ton of runs and the Blue Jays offense will be able to take advantage of his poor pitching here. The best way to place a bet here is on the Blue Jays to win this game.

Padres Blue Jays Prediction:  Our MLB Pick for Wednesday, July 19, 2023 (7:07 pm ET start time) is Blue Jays 6 Padres 1.
