Padres vs Pirates Prediction

The current betting odds have the Padres listed as a favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Padres haven't been having a good season with a losing record overall as they are in 4th place of their division and they also have a really bad offense too. Their pitching has been really good though and they do have a chance to turn things around here with the Pirates starting to struggle a lot in their games lately. The Pirates were having a great season up until a few weeks ago when they entered a big slump and have been losing a ton of games now, even slipping under .500 for the season. Their offense has also been terrible in those games and they aren't going to have it any easier here with Snell on the mound for the Padres. Snell has been pitching really well this season and is really starting to find his groove now as he hasn't been giving up many runs in any of his starts lately. He will not have a problem trying to shut down this really cold Pirates offense as they have been struggling for so long now. The Pirates also have Keller starting in this game and he has been their best starter this season but even has begun to slip up lately. He pitched really well in his last start but the team still lost with no offense to be found and he hasn't really been that good in his last few starts either. Even if he were to pitch another great performance in this game, the lacking Pirates offense will continue to drag him down here and they won't be able to keep up with the Padres since Snell has been pitching so well lately. The best way to place a bet here is on the Padres to win this game.
