The Dodgers got smoke in Game 1 of the Padres/Dodgers series 7-1.  That was Friday.  It ruined the stats for the day.  The recommendation to bet on the DFodgers failed to understand that the Dodgers had to lose two games to the Mets… sleep for 4 hours… get on a morning across country flight… spend 5 hours on the plane…, take a 30 minute to 1 hr drive depending on where in LA the players live… nap, shower and be back at the ballpark two hours later for batting practice.  The Dodgers were gassed.  They lost to the Manealtor… a pitcher who had lost 5 of his last six games and ruined what would be a good season.  The Dodgers lost and weren’t happy about it.  Now they face Saturday Night reasonably rested… and will follow that with THIS game Game 3.  The Dodgers will toss the Padres into the Ocean… and since we lost big on a team that is 50 wins above their losses?  Check the prediction below and follow it to the letter of the law,

 

A National League West matchup between the #2 team and the #1 team…. However it is not close.  The betting lines will reflect that.  The records reflect that.  The record over the last month’s games will reflect that.  So what do the Padres have that could beat the Dodgers… Manny Machado, Juan Soto…. The San Diego Padres have won 7 of their last 10 games, a really good stretch for them.  It helped that they just SWEPT the rapidly sinking San Francisco Giants.  Plus the Padres get a couple days off while the Dodgers will be scrapping with the Mets.  They went 3-0 against the San Francisco Giants, 2-1 against the Kansas City Royals, 0-2 against the Cleveland GUARDIANS, and 2-0 against the Washington Nationals.  They have played well against bad teams over the last 10 games.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have won 7 of their last 10 games.  It has been a bad ten game stretch for the Dodgers.  Every Dodger game feel like a potential win since they reached 90 wins before 40 losses.  The best pitching coupled with the best hitting is a formula for lots of winning.  You don’t even need great numbers (which they have) to see that this could be a team of destiny.  You only need to compare thyme with the Yankees who have dropped off… History is calling for someone… and only 1 team has 90 wins thus far.  They went 1-1 against the New york mets (with 1 more to play tonight), 3-1 against the Miami Marlins, 2-1 against the Milwaukee Brewers, and 1-0 against the Miami Marlins… They have been winning over the last ten games… and it has been their worst stretch in August which contains a 13 game win streak.
