Pittsburgh Steelers Analysis
The Steelers are coming into this game with a 1-2 record overall and they are 1-0 in their road games this season where they will be in this game. They started their season off great with a big upset win on the road against the Buffalo Bills but that good fortune has quickly turned around as they have lost their last 2 games against the Las Vegas Raiders and the Cincinnati Bengals in their last game. That last loss must really sting as it was a divisional game at home for them against a Bengals team that has struggled for years and that has been dominated by the Steelers. Ben Roethlisberger racked up the passing yards in that game but he still struggled a lot as he completed 38/58 passes for 318 yards, 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. Their run game did not get much going as Najee Harris led the team in rushing with 40 yards on 14 carries. He had a big day as a receiver though as he led the team with 102 receiving yards on 14 receptions. Chase Claypool also had a nice day with 96 receiving yards on 9 receptions but no one else really made a big impact in that one. Joe Schobert led the defense with 4 solo tackles and 1 assisted one in that game. Terrell Edmunds came away with the only interception for the defense in that one but their pass rush was awful as no one was able to get to the quarterback and record a sack. They have scored 50 points in their first 3 games and they have allowed their opponents to score 66 points against them Their offense has accumulated 925 yards this season while their defense has allowed 1,064 yards against them.
Green Bay Packers Analysis
The Packers are coming into this game with a 2-1 record overall and they are 1-0 in their home games this season where they will be in this game. They had a bit of a rocky start to their season losing their season-opener to the New Orleans Saints in a blowout but they have quickly corrected their play with wins over the Detroit Lions and the San Francisco 49ers in their last game. Both of their last 2 games were in prime time and Aaron Rodgers did what he does best and delivered 2 big wins for his team with all eyes on him, especially after their scary start in week 1. Rodgers played well in their last game as he completed 23/33 passes for 261 yards and 2 touchdowns. Aaron jones led the team in rushing with 82 yards and 1 touchdown on 19 carries as he ahs started to find his stride in these last 2 games. Davante Adams put on a show as usual for the receiving corps as he led them with 132 yards and 1 TD on 12 receptions. Darnell Savage Jr. led the defense with 6 solo tackles in that game. Preston Smith led the defense in sacks with 1 while 4 other Packers players on the defense combined for another 2 sacks. It was Jaire Alexander who had the 1 interception for them in that game though. They have scored 68 points in their first 3 games and they have allowed their opponents to score 83 points against them. Their offense has accumulated 905 yards this season while their defense has allowed 964 yards against them.
Steelers vs Packers Prediction
The Packers are coming into this matchup as a 6.5 point favorite with the current betting odds. The Steelers have looked like a disaster losing twice in a row as a favorite after winning as an underdog in week 1. The Packers are coming off a big upset win on the road in prime time last Sunday night. The Packers offense is really starting to move the ball well again in their last 2 games while the Steelers have been struggling to move the ball on offense all season and they have not been able to do anything on the ground either. The Steelers do have a good defense but they are dealing with some injuries and the defense can only do so much anyway. If the offense is unable to move the ball then the defense will always be on the field which will lead them to eventually give up yards and points which has happened in their last 2 games now. This game will be won early on the ground and the Packers have a much stronger running game here. Once they pull ahead by a lot the Steelers will have no chance on offense to come back and cut down the gap. the best bet to place here is on the Packers to win and cover the spread.

Players to Watch
Pittsburgh Steelers: Najee Harris is one player to watch in this matchup. So far he has not been able to do much and he will be a key piece of this offense going forward. The best way to compliment the Steelers solid defense is with a great running game that can keep them off the field to rest for extended periods of time. He has failed to do that so far so all eyes will be on him to see if he can finally have a breakout game.
Green Bay Packers: Davante Adams is one player to watch here. He is easily one of the best receivers in the league and he also has one of the best quarterbacks in the league throwing him the ball to go with it. Look for him to make some big catches here and find the end zone in key moments as he is Aaron Rodgers’ go-to guy, especially on the important plays.
