Penguins vs Rangers Prediction

The Rangers are coming into this game as a slight favorite with the current betting odds. They dropped game 1 of this series with a loss in triple OT and they had a very good effort in that game but it was not good enough to get the win and as the game went on, the Penguins started to dominate more. The Rangers have still been great at home all season though and they will be eager to bounce back here and tie up the series going into Pittsburgh. Shesterkin still played a great game for them and made 79 saves in a game where they were pelted with shots over the 5.5 periods of hockey. Both teams will likely still be a little gassed from that long game and this should be a more defensive game as the Rangers will go back to their strengths after letting that one slip away. The Penguins also lost their goalie in the 2nd OT and that could play a big role in the rest of the series depending how serious the injury is. This is a good spot for the Rangers to bounce back in and tie up the series. The best bet here is on the Rangers to win this game at home.
