Pittsburgh vs Western Michigan Prediction

The current betting odds have Pittsburgh listed as a 10 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Pittsburgh just lost their last game at home but they played very well in that game as they were bested by a better Tennessee team, but just barely as they lost that game in OT. Pittsburgh has looked good in their 1st 2 games and they will continue to get better as the season goes on with their new replacement for Kenny Pickett. They are going to get better the more they play and now in their 3rd game of the season here they are getting what will be their weakest opponent so far. They are on the road for this game but WMU just had a very close win in a conference game and that was a game they did not play very well in as they almost lost to Ball State. Pittsburgh has been very good with their passing game this year and they are going to throw the ball deep here and beat WMU in the secondary with deep plays. WMU does not have the offense to stay in this game and Pittsburgh also has a good defense that will make it hard on them to score here. The best way to place a bet here is on Pittsburgh to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“Jared Wayne plays really well. We knew that in the summer. He's the leader of that group. Jared Wayne has played outstanding. He really has. He's the guy. We kind of knew that back in the summer. He's the leader of that group. The other guys have had opportunities. We obviously played a lot more three wideouts in the game Saturday afternoon, and we've got to step up. We've got to make more plays.” - Pat Narduzzi on Jared Wayne and his group of wide receivers ahead of this game against WMU.

“There’s nothing better than a tight end – knowing where he’s at when the pocket gets broken down, knowing where he is at all times and get him the ball. That’s what coach Moreland was for me when I played, so it’s great to see them start off on the right foot, and they’re both young players, and they played well in Game 1, but we’re going to need a lot more than that.” - Tim Lester on the chemistry between Blake Bosma and Jack Salopek.
