Phillies vs Marlins Prediction

The current betting odds have the Marlins listed as a slight favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Marlins weren't playing great out of the All-Star break but they have started to get hot again and are back in 2nd place of the NL East. The Phillies were very hot going into the All-Star break but that break killed a lot of their momentum and they have been struggling to get back on track since coming out. The Phillies are going to have Suarez on the mound here and he hasn't been great in his starts this season as he has been giving up quite a few runs. He has been giving up a lot more runs in his starts lately too and just gave up 4 runs in his last one. This Marlins offense has been getting hot again and they will take advantage of the scoring opportunities they get in this game with the way Suarez has been pitching lately. The Marlins also have Alcantara on the mound here and he will be able to shut down this Phillies lineup that hasn't been putting up a ton of runs lately. Alcantara hasn't been great in his starts this year but he does have the potential to be great after the season he had last year and he has also been pitching a lot better in his starts lately too. The Marlins have also been a lot better in their home games all season and this will be a huge series for them as they try to spread the gap between them and the Phillies in the NL East. The best way to place a bet here is on the Marlins to win this game.
