Eagles vs Patriots Prediction

The current betting odds have the Eagles listed as a 3.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Eagles had a really good season last year with their 14-3 record overall and they were the best team in the NFC both during the regular season with that record and in the playoffs too as they made it to the Super Bowl but lost to the Kansas City Chiefs. Normally the team that loses in the Super Bowl has a really bad year the next season but there is too much talent on this Eagles team for them to fall flat on their face as they are still one of the most talented teams in the league on both sides of the ball. The Patriots finished last season with a losing 8-9 record and they haven't found much success since Tom Brady left all those years ago. Mac Jones has been alright as their starting QB but he is clearly not going to be the answer for this team and he doesn't have a lot of talent around him on this offense either. The defense will always play hard under Belichick but the Eagles have a much better defense than the Patriots do and ever since Brady left years ago, they haven't been the dominant team at home they used to be either. The Eagles are going to be playing this season with another chip on their shoulder after falling short last year and they will make sure to bring their best effort right out of the gate here. The best way to place a bet here is on the Eagles to cover the spread in this game.
