Penn State vs USC Prediction

The current betting odds have Penn State listed as a 5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Penn State has looked great in their games this season with their 5-0 record overall and their 2-0 conference record. They are coming off a win against UCLA in their last one and they have also beaten a solid Illinois team at home. Meanwhile, USC has looked good in their games this season with their 3-2 record overall, but they have struggled in their first season of being in the Big Ten. They are only 1-2 in their conference games and have lost both of their road games against Big Ten opponents. Their only conference win this season did come at home, but they also got off to a really slow start and had to come back in that one. They won't be able to do that here as Penn State has one of the best teams in the nation and a much better defense that won't let USC come back like that if they fall behind. Penn State has struggled more on offense this season and this will be their first road conference game of the year, but the talent is still a lot better on this team. USC has struggled on offense themselves against some of the Big Ten defenses they have faced and this is going to be one of the best defenses they see all season. Penn State needs to win this game as they have their eyes set on finally winning the Big Ten this season so don't expect them to get tripped up against a USC team that doesn't have everything figured out on both sides of the ball. The best way to place a bet here is on Penn State to cover the spread in this game.
