Orlando Magic Analysis

The Magic are coming into this game with a 15-48 record overall and they are 8-26 in their road games this season where they will be in this game. They have won 2 of their last 3 games but are coming into this one off of a loss in their last game which snapped a 2 game winning streak that they were on. Their 2 wins in that span were against the Houston Rockets and the Indiana Pacers while their loss came against the Pacers in their last game. Franz Wagner led the team in points in that game with 28 while Mohamed Bamba was next on the team with 19 points. Wendell Carter Jr. and Jalen Suggs both led the team in assists in that game with 5 each while Carter Jr. led the team in rebounds with 18. They were 45.4% from the field, 31.3% from 3-point range, and 80% from the free throw line with their shooting in that game. Their offense is averaging 104 PPG and their defense is averaging their opponents to average 112 PPG against them. The Magic have an ATS record of 28-35 this season and their O/U record is 33-29-1.

Toronto Raptors Analysis

The Raptors are coming into this game with a 34-27 record overall and they are 17-13 in their home games this season where they will be in this game. They have won 2 of their last 3 games and are coming into this one on a 2 game winning streak. Their last loss was against the Atlanta Hawks while their 2 wins since then have come against the Brooklyn Nets and the Nets again in their last game. They still have a game against the Detroit Pistons on Thursday night that needs to be played first so this will be the 2nd leg of a back-to-back for them on Friday night. In their game against the Nets, Gary Trent Jr. led the team in points in that game with 24 while Scottie Barnes and Pascal Siakam were both next on the team with 18 points each. Malachi Flynn led the team in assists in that game with 8 while Barnes led the team in rebounds with 10. They were 45.6% from the field, 30.4% from 3-point range, and 87% from the free throw line with their shots in that game. Their offense is averaging 103.2 PPG and their defense is averaging their opponents to average 112.7 PPG against them. The Raptors have an ATS record of 34-26-1 this season and their O/U record is 33-28.

Magic vs Raptors Prediction

The Magic have been having an awful season and they are currently the team at the very bottom of the Eastern Conference. They have won 2 of their last 3 games and were starting to play better but they are coming off of a loss against the Pacers and they were at home for that game after beating the Pacers in their game prior to that one by close to 20 points. They should have been able to do it again but instead they let the game go to OT where they let it go and wound up losing by 8 points. They are going up against a Raptors side that has been heating up in their recent games winning their last 2 straight and they have been putting together some decent runs in their recent games, staying relevant in the playoff conversation. The Raptors have an advantage being at home here as there is a vaccine mandate so any players coming to play in Toronto cannot unless they are vaccinated from covid-19. The Raptors are a lot better than the Magic are even at full strength though and the Raptors have been in much better form recently as they look to make the playoffs this season. They should be able to get an easy win in this game and take it by double digits.
