Magic vs Hawks Prediction

The current betting odds have the Hawks listed as an 8.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Hawks just won their season opener at home and they had a very nice performance as they beat the Rockets by 10 points. The Hawks were a very good home team last season and they have continued that this year with a win in their 1st game there. They played much better defensively in that game too which has been something their coach is stressing this season, and they are getting another very young and developing team that they can beat up on here. The Magic played well in their 1st game as they went on the road and only lost by 4 points in Detroit, but the Pistons are in a similar situation as the Magic with their younger team while the Hawks are a playoff team that is ready to win now and it is a lot harder to go into Atlanta and play there. The Magic still have a lot of young players including their rookie Banchero who still needs to get up to speed in the NBA and they are going to get a real reality check here after that close loss in Detroit. The best way to place a bet here is on the Hawks to cover the spread in this game.
