They lost their season opener against the Purdue Boilermakers but then they followed that up with wins over the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors and the Idaho Vandals in their last game. Chance Nolan played well in that game as he completed 14/19 passes for 175 yards and 3 touchdowns and zero interceptions. B.J. Baylor led the team in rushing with 69 yards and 2 touchdowns on 11 carries while Trey Lowe was right behind him with 68 yards rushing on 9 carries. The receiving corps had a quiet day as Luke Musgrave led the team in receiving with 40 yards on 3 receptions. Kyrei Fisher led the defense with 5 solo tackles and 2 assisted ones along with 1 sack. Riley Sharp had the only other sack for his team in that game while Omar Speights and Skyler Thomas both came away with 1 interception each. Jaxson Dart filled in for the injured Kedon Slovis in that game and he played well completing 30/46 passes for 391 yards and 4 touchdowns but he also struggled at times as he threw 2 interceptions in that game as well. They did not have much of a run game in that one as Dart led the team in rushing with 32 yards on 6 carries. Drake London had a massive day for the receiving corps as he led the team with 170 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns on 13 receptions. Xavion Alford led the defense with 6 solo tackles and Calen Bullock had 4 solo tackles and the only interception for his team in the game. Drake Jackson, Kana'i Mauga, and Jaylin Smith all had 1 sack each in that game. They have scored 103 points in their first 3 games and they have allowed their opponents to score 63 points against them. Their offense is averaging 423.7 YPG while the Trojans defense is allowing 343.3 YPG.

 

Both of these teams have been scoring a lot of points with their offense. USC was not happy about losing to Stanford in week 2 as they have fired their coach as a result of that. They will be looking to take out their anger on every team for the rest of the season and with all conference matchups left, they will not be taking any games lightly now. Oregon State will be able to keep up only for so long though before USC starts to pull away. Their defense is better than Oregon State's and they will be able to stop their offense more. USC will pull away more as this game goes on so the best bet here is on USC to cover the spread.
