Oregon vs Washington State Prediction

The current betting odds have Washington State listed as a 6.5 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. WSU has looked really good in their 3 games so far. They pulled off a big upset win against Wisconsin when they were a 17 point underdog and they have a really good defense that can keep them in games with a chance to win. Oregon has had a rough start to the year with a lot of criticism but they looked really good in their last game at home against BYU. That game was at home though, where Oregon has only lost 2 games since the turn of the century, and now they go on the road where Bo Nix has looked very shaky as a QB in his starts. He wasn't great in road games when he was at Auburn and things aren't going to change for him now that he is at Oregon. This is still a road game against a good conference opponent and he will not perform well as he usually does in road games. The QB play is going to be the difference in this game as Nix will make bad mistakes and the WSU defense will make sure to force turnovers and give their offense great field position. The best way to place a bet here is on WSU to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“It’s a combination of our guys doing well up front, the ball coming out on time up front, our coaching staff has done a good job as well. But it’s also a tribute to what kind of defenses we’ve been playing. I think if you watch the game last game, you’re going to see a lot of three-man rush from BYU. That’s easier to protect against and get the ball out than it is when people are bringing five or six. We don’t want to give up sacks, but on the same note our goal isn’t how may sacks we give up a game, our goal is to win.” - Dan Lanning after his team’s win against BYU in their last game.

"We started fast. That's exactly what we needed to do in this football game." - Jake Dickert after his team’s win against CSU in their last game.
