Oklahoma City Thunder Analysis

The Thunder are coming into this game with an 18-40 record overall and they are 9-21 in their road games this season where they will be in this game. They have lost 6 of their last 7 games and are coming into this one off of a loss in their last game. Their last win was against the New York Knicks while their 6 losses in that span came against the Sacramento Kings, the Golden State Warriors, the Toronto Raptors, the Philadelphia 76ers, the Chicago Bulls, and the San Antonio Spurs in their last game. They still have a game against the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night that needs to be played first so this will be the 2nd leg of a back-to-back game on Friday night for them. In their game against the Spurs, Tre Mann led the team in points in that game with 24 while Théo Maledon off the bench was next on the team with 22 points. Josh Giddey led the team in assists in that game with 10 while Isaiah Roby led the team in rebounds with 12. They were 39% from the field, 34.4% from 3-point range, and 68.4% from the free throw line with their shooting in that game. Their offense is averaging 101.2 PPG and their defense is averaging their opponents to average 107.8 PPG against them. The Thunder have an ATS record of 35-19-4 this season and their O/U record is 25-33.

Their 7 losses in that span were against the Orlando Magic, the Chicago Bulls, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Atlanta Hawks, the Cavaliers again, the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Milwaukee Bucks while their last loss came against the Washington Wizards in their last game. Thunder vs Pacers Prediction

The Thunder have lost 6 of their last 7 games but they have not been awful recently as their last 2 losses were both by single digits and now that they have had a week to rest, they should be healthier for this game. The Thunder are supposed to be getting back their leading scorer Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for this game and he will be an added boost to their lineup. They have been getting by without him in some of their games but they have lost a majority of the games he has been out and he will instantly make this team a lot better once he is inserted back into the lineup. The Pacers have been just as bad as the Thunder this season as they have 2 more wins than them but the same number of losses. The Pacers also recently traded away most of the talent on their team and now have a skeleton crew playing for them, and a lot of those players are also injured or banged up coming into this game. The Thunder will be on a back-to-back here but that could benefit them as they have not played in a week and having this situation will keep them warmed up for this game. The Thunder will play a lot better with Shai back and this will likely still be a close game but the Thunder should come away with the win here.
