Northwestern vs Minnesota Prediction

The current betting odds have Minnesota listed as a 17.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Minnesota has been a decent team this year with some big blowout wins in their games but they have also played in some closer games lately as they have had their struggles too. They are a lot better than their opponent here though and even though Minnesota only won by a TD last week, they had plenty of chances to extend that lead. They are back at home here and will have an easier time against Northwestern here who hasn't been very good this year. Northwestern played really well in their game last week but that was also a game at home in which they put a ton of effort into to try and beat OSU, which they did end up giving OSU some fits in that game as they were in it the whole time. That game took a lot of energy out of them though and now they are going on the road after that big emotional game. Northwestern is due for a letdown here and Minnesota's offense will be able to take over this game at home. The best way to place a bet here is on Minnesota to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

"A lot of good happened today. Unfortunately, the bad is the outcome on the scoreboard. I thought our staff put together a really good plan to be prepared for the elements, and I think we pretty much executed it except for a couple plays. Those ended up being the difference in the game." - Pat Fitzgerald after his team’s loss against OSU in their last game.

"That's a gutsy win by a really good football team — ours. It was a great test of character, and I thought we passed the test." - P.J. Fleck after his team’s win against Nebraska in their last game.
