North Carolina State vs Virginia Prediction

The current betting odds have NC State listed as a 9.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. NC State is 2-1 this season but they have looked a lot better in their games this year. Brennan Armstrong has been a great addition to this offense as it has been running a lot more smoothly in their games and their only loss was to Notre Dame who might just be one of the best teams in the country this year. They still put up a really good fight in that game against a good Notre Dame team and now they are opening up their conference play against a winless Virginia team. Virginia is 0-3 this season and they had a really close game against James Madison which they almost won but other than 1 game, they have looked terrible in their blowout losses. They are also dealing with an injury to their starting QB so they have been playing with their backup who hasn't been bad early in games but has been falling apart later on. NC State has a really good team and they will be looking to open up their conference schedule on a positive note. The best way to place a bet here is on NC State to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“It’s one of the beauties of youth, you know, these kids are very quick to respond and bounce back more so than the adults, I think. Every play that a guy makes builds confidence. Like that run Kendrick had, jumped over a guy, that’s going to build confidence for him.” - Dave Doeren after his team’s win against VMI in their last game.

“He's going to have moments where he's going to have to learn on the field. In that situation, you instruct him in the huddle, ‘Hey, if it’s not there, throw it away. We got points.'” - Tony Elliott after his team’s loss against Maryland in their last game.
