Season Record

Chargers: 5-5, 2nd place AFC West
Cardinals: 4-7 NFC West

An inter conference matchup between NFL teams with wildly different squads… yet eerily similar records.  They are only separated by 1 win,  it feels like the visiting team is on the way to irrelevance while the home team is falling apart.  The Los Angeles Chargers have lost 3 of their last 4 games completely tanking their season.  QB Justin Herbert is caught up in some wild curse of the Chargers… year after year the Chargers have a good quarterback (some for full decades) and a fine roster… and either bungle close games or get bit by the injury bug.  Everyone thinks that Justin Herbert is top notch… big kid, big arm, lots of talent that comes with lots of expectations… not nearly enough wins.  The Chargers have big expectations but they are also a team that lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars 38-10 back in September!  They have however been a very safe bet ATS… in fact they are 7-3 ATS.  The Arizona Cardinals signed a bad BIG contract with their very SMALL quarterback.  It is that simple.  There are hurt feelings all around and what the universe has been saying is coming true: “Kyler Murray is too small to make it through a season without missing games to injury”.  The result of last offseason’s contract muckety muck is hurt feelings for everyone. Teams survive a lot of things.. Not hurt feelings. The Cardinals have won not enough games to contend in their own division… and will probably start trying too hard in every game.

The Los Angeles Chargers lost their last game to the Kansas City Chiefs 30-27.  That is THE most important AFC rival for the Chargers… and year after year they get stumped. The game looked like it could go the Chargers way several times throughout play QB Justin Herbert was 23 of 30 for 280 yards with 2 TDs and 1 INT.  RB Austin Ekeler went for 83 yards on 19 carries with 1 TD.  WR Joshua Palmer had 8 receptions for 106 yards and he caught those 2 TDs.  But hey could not hold off the Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes who tore them up for 20 of 34 with 329 yards and 3 TDs.  The final score was close… The Chargers got the win ATS… but ultimately the Chargers are still the team that can not win the big games.  It would have helped if WR Mike Williams could have played.  In the Chiefs game Mike was returning from injury and immediately went back out with injury. Defensive star LB Joey Bosa is still out with a groin injury.. In fcat lots of Chargers keep missing lots of games.

The Arizona Cardinals have lost 3 of their last 4 games.  They lost their last game in Mexico City to the San Francisco 49ers 38-10.  It was not as close as that absurd score.  You could blame it on the high altitude or that the Cardinals were again missing QB Kyler Murray?  But the truth is the Cardinals keep losing and may be terrible. It is currently uncertain if Kyler will play against the Chargers… if he does not?... Bet the house on the Chargers… If he does… only consider betting the House against the Chargers.

Los Angeles Chargers VS Arizona Cardinals Prediction

Our prediction for Sunday, November 27th is… Chargers 27 - Cardinals 19

Both of these defenses are broken… They both suffer from the injury bug.  The Chargers offense is slightly better.  The Chargers chances at a postseason spot are slightly greater.  Bet on the Chargers whether Kyler plays or not.  A 4.5 spread should not deter you.
