Yankees vs Angels Prediction

The current betting odds have the Angels listed as a slight favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Angels have been terrible in their games lately as they entered a huge slump before going into the All-Star break but their offense has still been really good lately and they will have to lean on that to win games. The Yankees haven't been that great in their games lately either, they haven't been losing as many games as the Angels have been losing but they have still been slipping down the standings lately and haven't had a strong offense all season. The Angels will be able to take advantage of this matchup since their offense has been a lot better than the Yankees offense lately and the Yankees are also going with German here who hasn't been great in his starts this season. He has been pitching a lot better lately as he has faced some of the weaker offenses in the league in his last few starts, but the Angels have one of the best offenses in the league and will put up runs on German here since he hasn't been great. The Angels also have Sandoval starting here and he hasn't been lights out all season but he has been pitching a lot better in his starts lately and has also given up fewer runs in his home starts this year. He won't have a problem trying to shut down this cold Yankees offense that hasn't been producing for a while and this will be a game where the Angels offense can carry them with how good they have been lately. The best way to place a bet here is on the Angels to win this game.

Notable Quotes

“We've got 2 1/2 months to put ourselves in a position to be championship caliber. It's on us. We've got to go prove that. As far as who we're playing, this is Major League Baseball. You're going to beat some good teams. You're going to lose some series to teams that are struggling. It's a grind every time you go out there. They outlasted us today. We're obviously (angry) in the moment that we lost a series, but it's a series. We've got to move on from it and go try to play well in California.” - Aaron Boone after his team’s loss against the Rockies in their game on Sunday.

“It stinks. You try to build off yesterday and talked about the fight, but it hurts.” - Phil Nevin after his team’s loss against the Astros in their game on Sunday.
