Mets vs Reds Prediction

The current betting odds have the Mets listed as a slight favorite in this game. The Mets have one of the best records in the NL right now and they have been one of the most consistent teams in the MLB all season with plenty of series wins under their belt. The Reds have one of the worst records in the MLB though and this is a series that a team like the Mets need to sweep. The Mets also have the Braves hot on their tail after a very good June for them so the Mets need to start spreading that gap a little more and this is the perfect opportunity to win some games and sweep a series against the Reds here. The Mets have Peterson starting in this game and he has been very good in his starts this season. He has not had many bad starts and will likely pitch well here after being out of the starting rotation for some time. The Mets are getting very healthy again with their pitching staff and that gives them a big advantage as they have been playing so well the last few weeks without some of their best arms. The Reds have a rookie on the mound here in Ashcraft and he has not been great this season, coming off of an awful start in his last appearance where he allowed 7 runs in that game. The Mets have a very good lineup and will get to him for some runs here while the Reds have one of the worst offenses in the MLB, Peterson will be able to close the door on them here. The best way to place a bet here is on the Mets to win this game.
