New York Giants Analysis

The Giants are coming into this game with a 1-3 record overall and they are 1-1 in their road games this season where they will be in this game. This will be their 2nd divisional matchup of the season and they are already behind the mark with a 0-1 record in their division games this season. Their season started off really rocky with 3 straight losses against the Denver Broncos, the Washington Football Team, and the Atlanta Falcons but they finally snapped that losing streak with a win over the Saints in their last game. Daniel Jones struggled at times but overall he played a great game as he completed 28/40 passes for 402 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. Saquon Barkley led the team in rushing with 52 yards and the game winning TD in OT on 13 carries but they are still waiting for that breakout game on the ground this year as their run game has been average at best. Their receiving corps did have a nice day as Kenny Golladay led the way with 116 yards on 6 receptions while Kadarius Toney caught 6 passes as well for 78 yards. John Ross also had a day with 77 receiving yards and 1 TD on 3 receptions while Barkley got involved in the passing game too with 74 yards receiving and 1 TD on 5 receptions. Tae Crowder and Logan Ryan both led the defense with 4 solo tackles and 5 assisted ones while Reggie Ragland was right behind them with 4 solo tackles and 4 assisted ones. Adoree' Jackson and Dexter Lawrence also played well with 2 solo tackles each and 3 and 2 assisted ones respectively. No one on the defense recorded a sack in that game but James Bradberry did have the only interception for them. They have scored 83 points in their first 4 games and they have allowed their opponents to score 95 points against them. Their offense has accumulated 1,536 yards this season while their defense has allowed 1,528 yards against them.

Dallas Cowboys Analysis

The Cowboys are coming into this game with a 3-1 record overall and they are 2-0 in their home games this season where they will be in this game. This will be their 2nd divisional matchup on their schedule this season and they are already ahead of the game with a 1-0 record in their division games this season. After losing to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their season opener, they have really come out strong since winning their last 3 games against the LA Chargers, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Panthers in their last game. Dak Prescott played very well in that game as he completed 14/22 passes for 188 yards and 4 touchdowns. Ezekiel Elliott had a massive day on the ground in that one as he led the team in rushing yards with 143 and 1 touchdown on 20 carries. Tony Pollard also had a nice outing as he rushed for 67 yards on 10 carries. Amari Cooper led the receivers with 69 yards and 1 TD on 3 receptions. Dalton Schultz led the team in receptions with 6 for 58 yards and 1 touchdown. There were 4 different receivers who caught a touchdown pass in that game. Anthony Brown led the defense with 6 solo tackles while Jayron Kearse was right behind him with 5 solo tackles and 1 assisted one. Randy Gregory led the team in sacks with 2 while Micah Parsons and Tarell Basham both recorded 1 sack each. Chauncey Golston and Osa Odighizuwa both had 1 combined sack in that game but it was Trevon Diggs who came away with not 1, but 2 interceptions for his team in that one. They have scored 126 points in their first 4 games and they have allowed their opponents to score 97 points against them. Their offense has accumulated 1,683 yards this season while their defense has allowed 1,585 yards against.

Giants vs Cowboys Prediction

The Giants are coming into this game as a 7 point underdog with the current betting odds. They have been really close in a few of their games and they did look a lot better in their game last week. The Cowboys are just too good though. They have looked really good in all of their games now and they have played much better teams with tougher defenses than the Giants have. They have scored over 20 points in all of their games this year really moving the ball well on offense. Even in their 1 loss, they took on the Super Bowl Champions on the road and lost by 2 points still scoring 29 on them. The Cowboys can taste the division title already with their great play and 1-0 start in the division. They will hold nothing back here to get this win. The best bet to make in this game is on the Cowboys to cover the spread here as they will win in a blowout.

Players to Watch

New York Giants: Saquon Barkley is one player to watch in this matchup. He is coming off of a game where he finally led the team in rushing and he scored the game winning TD in OT as well. He is slowly getting more and more comfortable in each game since coming back from a big injury so look for him to ramp up even more here and get some more touches in this game.

Dallas Cowboys: Ezekiel Elliott is one player to watch in this contest. He has looked real good in the running game to start the season as he leads his team in rushing yards and in touchdowns scored. He is coming off of a game where he almost rushed for over 150 yards so look for him to keep ripping off big runs for scores in their games as this offense looks good and he is a focal point in it.
