They lost against the Minnesota Golden Gophers in their last game on the road 38-0. Diego Pavia started that game at QB and he completed 2/5 passes for 10 yards before getting pulled and replaced by Gavin Frakes who completed 2/7 passes for 43 yards and 1 interception. Diego Pavia led the team in rushing with 14 yards on 3 rushing attempts. Justice Powers led the team in receiving with 34 yards on 1 reception. UTEP also got blown out in their last game against Oklahoma but they still scored some points on them and their offense is going to move the ball in this bad NM State defense in this game. UTEP's defense should also be a lot better here as NM State does not throw the ball a lot, and they have 2 very bad QB's who have been awful in their first 2 games. UTEP is the better team here and they will get a nice feel good win here at home by a lot. The best way to place a bet here is on UTEP to cover the spread in this game.
