Nebraska vs Iowa Prediction

The current betting odds have Iowa listed as a 10.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Iowa has looked really good in their last few games as they have won a few games in a row now and are well on their way to going to the Big Ten Championship. They control their own destiny as they just need a win in this game to send themselves to the Championship game, but they also have one of the best defenses in the Big Ten and they are going to make it very difficult for Nebraska to score points in this game. Nebraska has been playing much better in the 2nd half of the season with their interim head coach but they still haven't been that great. They are playing good defense in their games but their offense has not been able to do much and they have faced some bad teams during that time as well. Nebraska is going to struggle to move the ball on this good Iowa defense and they will be lucky if they can even muster up some field goals in this game. Iowa has been playing a lot better on offense lately too so they will slowly pull away throughout the game and the Nebraska offense will not be able to do much to catch up here. The best way to place a bet here is on Iowa to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

"I've got to do a better job of closing people out. I take my hat off to these kids. Just a good character group, a group that's not going to quit. We're going to come back next week and we're going to play hard again and look for a different result. Just didn't happen today. This one hurts." - Mickey Joseph after his team’s loss against Wisconsin in their last game.

"I don't know anything about gambling, but I'm guessing if you put 10 bucks on us four weeks ago, you'd probably be OK." - Kirk Ferentz after his team’s win against Minnesota in their last game.
