A Western Conference battle between two teams that actually matter.  Two teams with great rosters.  Two teams that are playoff bound.  The Sacramento Kings just barely stopped being a dumpster fire… we can still smell the residue. The Kings pulled off the rarest of trades.  They swapped Tyler Haliburtoin last season for C Domantas Sabonis… the result is that BOTH teams are better. Indianapolis won the trade but the Kings got something they haven’t had in dozens of years… a winning squad.  Halliburton would not have fared as well if he still had to play opposite De’Aaron Fox… and Sabinis would not have fared as well if he still played in Indianapolis.  Win, win, win.  All around wins.  Indiana gets top start over and Sacramento gets to have a good team now.  The Memphis Grizzlies won the Zion Williams draft by not having the chance at drafting Zion Williams… Instead they wwere forced to take PG Ja Morant… you know,, the best young PG in the league… a guy who scores and inspires simultaneously.  Ja has tons of help too… SG Desmond Bane, SF Dillon Brooks… PF Jaren Jackson JR… the Grizzlies are stacked.

The Kings have won their last two games.  They are 3 of 5 over their last 5 games.  The Kings flirted with being a big time club… but we all know they aren’t.  The Kings are never really serious like the time they took a Power Forward whom they never got anything out of 1 pick before Luka Doncic in the draft.  Like the time they took 3 SG in the top 6 of the draft in a three year span.  They let all those 2 guards go in either trades or simply letting them walk.  The Kings have always been terrible… they have always picked in the high end of the first round… It is all seriously a matter of this roster right now.

The Grizzlies have also won their last 2 games.  They have 6 wins out of their last 10 games.  Because they had those 4 losses they have fallen from 2nd place to third place.  Still they are a good team with a great leader.  In their last game they beat the New Orleans Pelicans 116-101 for a win ATS.. and that spread was -6.5… so pretty good performance.  In that win PG Ja Morant got 32 points, 3 rebounds, and 8 assist on his way to clowning his AAyU teammate Zon Wiliamson. Zion had 20,9, and 1… Not as good.  Ja is a dark horse MVP candidate every year… he often takes long injury breaks tha kills his chances.  Ja is stil the type of guy that can kill you from anywhere.

Grizzlies: SF Dillon Brooks.  Desmond Banes took this guy’s job at the SG spot. Dillon has learned to shine as a small forward… but in reality he will always need to play team ball to keep the winning going no matter what position the coach sticks him in.
