A Western Conference mismatch… not because the bad team is truly bad… but the bad team is “tanking” and missing several starters to the injury list.  The Utah Jazz have been wonderfully fun this season… From a very early first place in the Western Conference standings… to simply knowing that the Jazz have sooo many first round picks coming from the Denver Nuggets over the next half decade because they sent the Nuggets Rudy Gobert… and we all know that trede is already a Jazz “win” since Walker Kessler is already a suitable replacement for Rudy and they still have all the picks.  The story for the Jazz this year was SF lauri Markkanen who was a draft disappointment for his first 5 seasons in the league as he battled injury and finding his place… This season Lauri… the real Lauri… stood UP!  The Sacramento Kings are also a wonderfully fun team to watch!  After years of being the NBA doormats (18 to be exact).. The Kings turned a trade with the Pacers into C Domantas Sabonis to pair with PG De’Aaron Fox, and rookie PF Keegan Murray to suddenly have the #1 offense in the league and a clear path to home court in the Playoffs!  Not bad!  The great betting opportunity here is in knowing the Jazz are done winning this season but the Kings are not.

The Utah Jazz have won only 4 of their last 10 games as they have seamlessly slipped to the back half of the Western Conference standings.  They lost their last game 144-116 against the Milwaukee Bucks. In the loss they got 26 points, from the completely unknown SF Simone Fontecchio.  A 6’8 UNDRAFTED Euro who was pressed into action because of the absence of Lauri Markkanen.  Have I mentioned the Jazz have multiple first round picks this year with a Draft Lottery pick of their open on the line?... They are done winning unless they are paired with another team who is done winning. That is the reality.  If these Jazz could land a quality, young PF?.. Look out!

The Sacramento Kings have won 7 of their last 10 games.  They went 7-3 ATS during that stretch. They have been doing real well and are a reasonable candidate for a deep playoff run.  This matchup is tricky because they did lose to the Utah Jazz just a couple of games ago 128-120. However in that game the Kings were missing SG Kevin Huerter whose sweet shooting has no replacement yet. Not to mention bench players Trey Lyles and Malik Monk had horrible shooting nights while trying to replace Kevin’s shooting.

Bet on the Kings.  The Kings are rolling and they have the #1 offense in the NBA.  The Jazz are a fine club… but won’t be able to defend the scoring onslaught that is coming their way. Plus the Jazz are missing Colin Sexton, Jordan Clarkson, and possibly Lauri Markkanen.

Jazz: C Walker Kessler.  I can’t stress this enough.  Walkers was the 4th Center taken in his draft as he had to wait until the 22nd pick of the first round to hear his name called. Of the 4 Walker clearly had the best rookie season!  He is a rock in the center for the Jazz who is capable of some points, lots of rebounds, and several monster BLOCKS a game.  The Jazz team is young (and we have yet to see Chet Holmgren) but when any team wins a single position in the draft in a single year… That team has a bright future for it.

Kings: C Domantas Sabonis… Lets not play around with this anymore. Domantas is an All-Star Center. in a League that has Embiid and Jokic… Domantas will not get the shine.. BUT he is the real deal capable of near triple double stat lines every night he plays… and leading a fun Kings team that is #1 on offense.  If they get another quality two-way player?.. Domantas will see the Finals next season.
