An inter conference battle of the big boys… a surprising battle of the big boys.. But one nonetheless.  The Milwaukee Bucks are in 1st place in the Eastern Conference!  They are dominant with a recent 16 game winning streak behind them.. They are still winning at a high enough clip to keep that first place status… BUT they have a problem… PF Giannis Antetokoumnpo is OUT with injury… Giannis is the heart and soul and body and mind of the Bucks… after him there is a deep roster for sure… but it is not the roster that they have with him and it’s not close… So why are they favored?... Because no one takes the Sacramento Kings seriously. The Kings are in second place in the Western Conference.. They are winners of 40 games and counting!  The reason no one talks about them is that they have been doormats for the last 18 seasons.  Always missing the Playoffs.  However over the last 18 seasons they did not have C Domantas Sabonis playing with PG De'Aaron Fox and rookie PF Keegan Murray. With an assembled team of those parts plus a few more scorers.. They are winners.  You can’t deny them the smiles and high fives of winners.  They aren’t Contender because of the name on the front of the jerseys.. But the names on the back are doing lots to change that perception.  The great betting opportunity here is on the injury list.

The Milwaukee Bucks have won 8 of their last 10 games… They went 6-4 ATS during that stretch. At 9th on offense in the NBA and 6th on defense they are formidable for sure… but Giannis is about 40% of all that production on his own.  They lost their last game against the Golden State Warriors 125-116 in overtime.  In the loss they got 19 points from C Brook Lopez, 19 points from SF Khris Middleton, and 18 points from PG Jrue Holiday.. No 20 point Bucks in the entire game.. That may be because these guys get easy looks every night when the defense is desperately crashing on Giannis?

The Sacramento Kings have won 8 of their last 10 games… going 7-3 ATS during that stretch.  They won their last game against the Phoenix Suns (without Kevin Durant) 128-119… They were underdogs in that game by 3.5 points.  In the win they had 7 players in double figures.  The Kings bench is a secret weapon for sure with Malik Monk getting 18 points in 24 minutes, Trey Lyles getting 13 points in 21 minutes and Davion Mitchell getting 13 points in 15 minutes…even Chimezie Metu got in on the act with 9 points in 12 minutes!  The Kings are deeper than you know.

Bucks: SF Khris Middelton. Khris had a soft game last outing against the Warriors… he is usually a point per minute type guy this season… but as he has been worked back into the starting lineup?... We have seen less of those.

Kings: PF Keegan Murray.  Keegan is a keeper.  He is holding down his power forward duties on the defensive end amazingly as a rookie.  He will play for the Kings for years and years to come… he is very valuable!  He can score but as a rookie alongside Sabonis and Fox.. his best bet for more glory is to keep doing the dirty work.
